I'm Dr. Mari

I’m a researcher, educator, mother, widow, and founder of Growth After Loss. My work brings together research and lived experience of carrying grief while caring for the people you love.

As a professional, you may already help clients explore remembrance, traditions, and connection after loss. This workshop focuses on the decisions behind that work: when an activity fits, how to introduce it without pressure, and how to adapt it to a client’s needs, preferences, and capacity.

I’ll guide you through continuing-bonds research and its implications for practice, including when a particular activity may not be appropriate. Through teaching and demonstrations, we’ll explore how to offer choices, support implementation, and leave room for revision.

You’ll leave with practical professional guides, flexible session outlines, and client-facing resources to incorporate into your existing work during the holidays and beyond.
